A Plea for the Bridge
The following has appeared in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette twice, once in June 2007 as an Op Ed piece and again on March 23, 2008 as a paid advertisement.
There is a fear that Clinton has tired of his connections to Central Arkansas as his focus has become global. Fearing that he may view his commitment to “build our bridge” as only serving a limited geographic area, this plea points out how the bridge can serve his global message and truly become his “bridge to the 21st Century”.
Refocusing on global concerns is no excuse for breaking a solemn promise.
